Travel to Machu Picchu and the Galápagos Islands with OAT to discover two of Latin America’s most important destinations.
First, follow in the footsteps of the ancients as you walk among the impressive ruins of the “Lost City of the Incas"
and experience Peruvian culture in the Andean landscape of the Sacred Valley.
Then continue to Ecuador's Galápagos Islands, where you may swim in unspoiled coves with rollicking sea lions as your playmates.
You'll also find a living laboratory of Darwin’s theory of evolution in these "Enchanted Isles."
From the city to the countryside, we'll delve into the cultural legacies of Peru and Ecuador.
We stay overnight near Machu Picchu to give us ample time to explore the site.
And in the Galápagos, we slip into secluded coves aboard our exclusively chartered small ship to land on pristine shores.

旅遊概略：
|
我們是參加 Oversea Adventure Travel 從七月十八號到八月三號十六天的旅遊，
全程分兩大部份，先去秘魯 (Peru)，再去厄瓜多爾 (Ecuador)，各有一個全陪導遊。
秘魯最著名的景點是 Machu Picchu，為公元1500年印加帝国的遺跡，
世界七大奇跡之一。
厄瓜多爾我們去旅遊的是 Galápagos Islands，由十六個大小不同的火山小島所組成，
是啟發英國博物學家達爾文，物競天擇進化論的起源地。
整個旅遊路線: 我們是從紐澤西搭 United Airline 直飛 Lima (海拔 5090 呎), 停留一晚，
然後飛 Cuzco (海拔 11152 呎), 在 Sacred Valley (海拔 9751 呎) 停留兩晚。
第五天早上坐火車兩小時前往 Machu Picchu (海拔 7972 呎)，
當天下午我們在 Machu Picchu 遺址參觀，晚上住進 Aguas Calientes (海拔 6693 呎) 旅館。
次日清晨六點，我們再去 Machu Picchu 參觀，下午我們坐火車回 Ollantaytambo (海拔 9337 呎)，
在 Cusco (海拔 11000 呎) 停三晚。
第九天我們飛往 Quito, Ecuador (海拔 9350 呎), 宿一晚，
然後飛往 Galápagos 上船住四晚，
第十五天我們又飛回 Quito 停留一晚，然後回美結束整個行程。
在 Galápagos 船上的四天，行程排得很密，簡直是馬不停蹄，早上下午不停的坐小氣艇去各小島看珍稀動物，
另外還安排有四次 “浮潜” (snorkeling)。
我對 “浮潜” 尤其印象深刻，海底美景盡在眼前，
海獅，海龜，沙魚 彩色的 熱帶魚, 還有一群群閃爍遊動的小魚群，美不勝收。
我們是小團體十三個人的旅遊，團員間互動較多，導遊對團員的照顧也特別周全，
譬如我們在 Galápagos islands “浮潜” 時，導遊 (有十七年潛水經驗) 穿著潛水衣穿梭在我們四周，
兩條汽艇在邊上，只要船伕一看到我們露疲態，汽艇就在身旁了，盯得很緊。
因為人數少，我們在 Galápagos 住宿的是一條小船，寬二十五呎，長一百呎，八間客房。
每天或同一天要去不同的小島看動物，島與島間開船有時長達七小時 (多是在晚飯後開船)。
船小浪大，顛簸相當厲害，根本站立不住，除了躺在床上別無良策，有好幾位朋友生病或嘔吐。
另外要一提的是這個旅遊除 Galápagos 的四天外，其餘的行程海拔都很高，
以前我從無高山症的問題，這回也許是年紀大了 (全團我最年長，七十二歲)，高山症顯著。
在 Sacred Valley 我心跳一百五十，晚上無法入眠。
另有一次從 Galápagos 飛回 Quito 的當晚，睡覺時感覺胸口像被壓住似的，無法入睡，
這些都是你要來此地玩需考慮到的。
整個旅遊雖然比較辛苦，尤其是高山症的反應。
但看到與體驗到的東西相當之多，我們也很幸運有兩位傑出的導遊，護衛導遊我們全程的旅行，
是我永難忘懷的一趟美妙旅遊。
